“PROTESTS SHOULD BE WELL ORGANIZED SO THAT PEOPLE WONT TAKE IT FOR GRANTED-SEFA

Ghanaian singer Sefadzi Abena Amesu known in the entertainment world as Sefa with hit songs like “echoke” and the likes has called on organizers of protests to duly inform the general public on their intentions so as many persons who are interested can join.

Sefa mentioned that failing to inform the general public and therefore reaching out to everyone creates the impression that some do not care.

Speaking in an interview on the ‘OccupyJulorbiHouse’ protest which recently happened, she revealed that she had no right information until two days after the protest was organised though people still came at her.

“I didn’t know there was a protest going on and that day of the protest I was supposed to release a song. I posted my new song on Instagram and people started calling me to delete it before people started bashing me. I asked what was going on because I didn’t know what was happening.

“I was told two days after about the “OccupyJulorbiHouse” protest. The whole thing started on Twitter and I don’t handle my Twitter account so I didn’t even know”.

” I heard that people got attacked which got me so I tweeted about it and I was still bashed on Twitter. Those on Twitter who went hard bashing people who weren’t there, were you also there? I might not be there because I didn’t know about what’s happening but why weren’t you there?” She asked.

The black Avenue singer added that, even after reading the meaning of what the protest was about,  she went ahead to air her view on the attack of the people present at the protest, she was still bashed on Twitter about the situation which made her wonder if those bashing her were also present to support.

She emphasized that protests should be well organised so that the people don’t take it as a joke.
