President Mahama Arrives in Doha for 2025 Global Dialogue Forum

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Saturday morning to participate in the 2025 Doha Forum, at the personal invitation of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
The President was received at Hamad International Airport by senior Qatari officials and Ghana’s Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Dr. Emmanuel Enos.
Focus on Global Challenges and African Prosperity
The Doha Forum, established in 2003, serves as a premier platform for policy leaders, diplomats, and innovators to address pressing global issues through dialogue and actionable solutions.
During the two-day summit, President Mahama will deliver two high-level interventions:
Opening Remark: “Education as Justice in Times of Crisis” – emphasizing education’s role in conflict resolution, post-crisis recovery, and equitable development.
Panel Discussion: “Economic Empowerment in Africa: Pathway to Inclusive Prosperity” – exploring strategies for sustainable growth, youth employment, and regional integration.
President Mahama is scheduled to hold official talks with His Highness the Emir of Qatar to strengthen Ghana-Qatar relations in areas including:
Energy and infrastructure
Trade and investment
Education and skills development
Security cooperation
Travel and Departure
The President traveled aboard a Qatar Airways Executive Jet provided by the State of Qatar as a gesture of bilateral goodwill.
He is expected to depart Doha on Sunday, December 8, 2025, following the conclusion of the Forum.
