Presidency Announces Reorganisation of National Security Council Secretariat

President John Dramani Mahama has approved a series of appointments and reassignments as part of the reorganisation of the National Security Council Secretariat.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, by the Presidency Communications, the following changes were announced:
Major (Rtd.) General William Ayamdo, former Chief of Army Staff, has been appointed Deputy National Security Coordinator (Operations).
Mr Yaw Donkor, former National Security Coordinator, has been appointed Director of Intelligence and Research at the Office of the National Security Advisor.
Mr Adamu Saaka has been appointed Director of Logistics and Transport.
Ms Faustina Effah-Boadi has been appointed Officer in Charge of the Human Security Department.
DCOP (Rtd.) Peter Ndekugri has been appointed Officer in Charge of the Special Investigations Unit.
ACP Alhassan Osman has been reassigned to the Ghana Police Service for further deployment.
The appointments and reassignments take immediate effect.
