Pregnant Farmer, 27, Found With Throat Slit on Dormaa West Farm
Police launch murder probe after seven-month pregnant woman killed in brutal attack

A farming community near Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District is reeling after a 27-year-old pregnant woman, Haggar Nyorkpatey, was found murdered on her farm with her throat slit.
The gruesome discovery was made on Thursday, November 6, 2025, after the seven-month pregnant farmer failed to return home. Her brother-in-law, 57-year-old Charles Asante, reported her missing to police after she left for her farm in Yaw Wusukrom around 8:30 a.m. and did not come back.
A search party organized by community members located her body lying lifeless on the farm. Police who arrived at the scene confirmed the horrific details:
- Throat severed with a sharp object
- Blood clot in mouth and ear canal
- Foamy substance mixed with blood on neck

The body has been deposited at the Dormaa-Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy as investigations intensify.
The Bono Regional Police Command has vowed to track down the perpetrator(s).
“Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this crime,” the police statement read
