The Ghana Police Service has arrested Christford Affadu Danful, a 25-year-old social media personality popularly known as Ekow Black, in connection with an alleged assault on his girlfriend, Racheal Oduro.
The arrest was carried out by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) following the circulation of a viral video on social media purportedly showing the assault.
According to preliminary police investigations, the incident occurred on November 30, 2025, after an argument broke out between the suspect and the victim. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Initial findings indicate that Ekow Black and Racheal Oduro, who previously lived together, had a history of frequent misunderstandings. These disputes allegedly often escalated into loud altercations and instances of violent conduct.
Police say investigations are ongoing, and the suspect is currently in custody to assist with further inquiries. The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to addressing domestic violence and cyber-related offences, urging the public to report such incidents promptly.
