Okada Rider Goes Missing With Over GH¢2,000 After Delivery

An okada rider stationed at Tudu has allegedly gone into hiding after making away with over GH¢2,000 entrusted to him by a client for a delivery and purchase of goods.
The rider, identified as Alex Kwaku Dokurugu, was engaged to deliver items valued at more than GH¢2,000 to a customer on behalf of the client.
According to the client, Dokurugu was instructed to deliver the items, collect payment, and use part of the money to purchase additional goods. He was then expected to return with the goods and a balance of GH¢1,370.
While the rider reportedly successfully delivered the items and collected payment, he failed to return with either the additional goods or the remaining cash.
Subsequent attempts to reach Dokurugu have proven unsuccessful, with sources indicating that he has since gone into hiding.
The incident has heightened concerns over the increasing cases of breach of trust involving commercial motor riders, particularly okada operators who are frequently engaged for cash transactions.
The affected client is reportedly considering reporting the matter to the police, as efforts to locate the rider have so far yielded no results.
