The Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality has destroyed a quantity of unwholesome products confiscated from traders between December 2025 and April 2026.
The exercise was carried out with the consent of the affected traders and in compliance with a court order issued by the Nsawam-Adoagyiri District Court.
Items destroyed included assorted goods such as beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products seized from supermarkets, retail shops, over-the-counter medicine sellers, and other traders operating within the municipality.
Authorities say the action forms part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and ensure that only safe and approved products are sold within the area.
