NSA Reopens Portal for Pin-Code Applications for Defaulters and Private Candidates

The National Service Authority (NSA) has reopened the portal for the application of Pin-Codes for defaulters and private candidates for the 2026/2027 service year.

According to a statement issued on August 31, 2026, the portal will remain open from Monday, August 31, 2026, to Friday, September 4, 2026.

Eligible applicants, including Ghanaian nationals who have completed their studies abroad, as well as candidates under the private and defaulter categories, and those facing extenuating circumstances with registration, are encouraged to take advantage of the final reopening of the portal to complete their online registration and submit all required documents at the designated NSA offices within the stipulated period.

Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that all registration requirements and supporting documents are completed and submitted on or before Friday, September 4, 2026.

The NSA reminded the public that, pursuant to the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who has completed an accredited tertiary institution is mandated to undertake National Service to the State.

The Management urged all eligible applicants who are yet to complete the process to use this final extended period to regularize their status and obtain their Pin-Codes before the deadline.

Friday, September 4, 2026, shall be the final deadline for the application of Pin-Codes for Defaulters and Private Candidates under this extension.
