New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Treasurer hopeful Collins Nuntwiri Nuamah (CNN) says he will leverage digital technology and regional fundraising initiatives to expand the party’s revenue base if elected.
Mr Nuamah believes the NPP can mobilise more financial resources by making it easier for supporters to contribute through digital platforms while introducing structured fundraising programmes across the regions.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Afternoon Ghana on Thursday, September 17, 2026, the National Treasurer hopeful outlined what he described as a new approach to managing and mobilising funds for the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He argued that the party has not fully exploited available opportunities to generate revenue and said his proposed reforms could have placed the NPP in a stronger financial position.
“The financial position of the NPP would have been different if my proposed policies were implemented,” he stated.
Four aspirants cleared
Mr Nuamah is one of four cleared aspirants contesting the NPP National Treasurer position in the party’s upcoming national executive elections.
He says he has the competence to manage the party’s finances and mobilise the resources required to support its activities ahead of the 2028 elections.
Focus on digital contributions and regional fundraising
At the centre of his proposal is the use of digital platforms to make contributions more accessible to party supporters.
He also plans to strengthen fundraising activities at the regional level through a more structured approach to mobilising financial support.
According to Mr Nuamah, combining digital fundraising with organised regional initiatives would create additional channels through which the party can generate revenue.
The NPP is scheduled to elect its new national executives on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with delegates from constituencies across the country expected to elect officers who will lead the party into the next electoral cycle.
Mr Nuamah says his broader ambition is to establish a fundraising structure that takes full advantage of digital technology while expanding the party’s revenue mobilisation activities across the regions.
