Nigerian Preacher Prophet Abel Boma Issues Dire Warning of Security Threats and Weapon Smuggling Targeting Ghana’s President Mahama

Nigerian preacher Prophet Abel Tamunominabo Boma has sparked concern with a prophecy warning of security threats and weapon smuggling aimed at Ghana’s President John Mahama. In a post on X on August 10, 2025, Boma claimed he had previously alerted Mahama to a potential coup plot and now foresees Nigerians smuggling firearms into Ghana with the intent to harm the president.
In his message, Boma urged Ghanaians to intensify border security and pray to avert the alleged danger. “Ghana, the Lord said: secure your country from the insecurity that is coming in. His Excellency President Mahama, put double check on your embassy,” he stated, emphasizing the need for vigilance at borders and seaports.
No official statement has been issued by President Mahama’s office or Ghanaian authorities in response to the prophecy. The claims come amid heightened regional concerns about security, following recent coups in West Africa, including Niger in 2023.
Prophet Boma, known for his bold predictions, including alleged prophecies about Nigeria’s 2023 and 2027 elections, has called for prayers to prevent the fulfillment of this warning. The lack of official confirmation leaves the prophecy’s credibility under scrutiny, but it has already sparked discussions on social media.
Authorities have yet to comment on any specific security measures in response to the claims, and the public awaits further developments as the situation unfolds.
