NDC Sets Stage for 2024 Election Showdown: Manifesto Launch Scheduled for August 24

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced its intention to launch its 2024 election manifesto in the Central Region on Saturday, August 24, 2024. This move comes six days after the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) unveils its manifesto in Takoradi, Western Region, on August 18, 2024.

NDC General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, revealed the plans in a press statement on Wednesday, stating that the venue, time, and other details will be announced by the Planning Committee in due course.

Manifesto Launch Planning Committee Unveiled

Mr. Kwetey named the members of the manifesto launch planning committee, chaired by Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, Director of Interparty and Civil Society Relations of the NDC. Other members include:

– Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, Deputy General Secretary
– Sammy Gyamfi, Communications Officer
– Elikem Kotoko, Deputy National Organiser
– Ludwig Hlordze, Director, Protocol and Logistics
– Nana Oye-Bampoe, Secretary to the Manifesto Committee
– Mrs. Beatrice Annan, Deputy Spokesperson for the John Mahama Campaign
– Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, former Minister of Sports
– Dr. Bernadette Hoffman
