NDC National Chairman Accuses Government of Political Witch-Hunt

Asiedu Nketiah Dismisses Claims Against Minority Leader Ato Forson as 'Blatant Lies

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has described the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfrey Yeboah Dame’s, decision to secure a conviction against the Minority Leader as political witch-hunting.

According to Mr. Nketiah, the claims by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice that Ato Forson imported empty vehicles as ambulances, thereby causing financial loss to the state, are all blatant lies. He opined that the 30 ambulances shipped into the country in 2015 had the necessary fittings, making the claims by the NPP that the NDC brought in ordinary vehicles as ambulances mischievous.

He added that the NDC, under the guidance of the then-Deputy Minister of Finance, Ato Forson, brought in three containers loaded with medical equipment for the installation and spare parts of the ambulances, but the Ministry of Health refused to clear the containers since 2016.
