Nations FC Face Exulted FC in Friendly Ahead of CAF Confederation Cup Debut

Ghanaian FA Cup holders Nations FC will take on Exulted FC in a friendly match on Friday, 7 August 2026, at the Legon Rugby Park, as the Kumasi-based side steps up preparations for its maiden continental campaign.

Kick-off is set for 8:00 a.m., with both teams expected to bring their A-game as they look to sharpen their form ahead of a busy season.

The friendly comes at a significant time for Nations FC, who have been drawn against Mali’s FC Diarra in the first preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup. The pairing was confirmed during the official draw ceremony held in Cairo on Thursday, setting up a historic first-ever continental outing for the Ghanaian side.

Nations FC will travel to Mali for the first leg, scheduled between 4 and 6 September 2026, before hosting the return fixture in Ghana from 11 to 13 September. The winner of the tie will advance to face the winner between Nigerien side AS Zam and Togo’s ASKO De Kara in the next round.

The Kumasi-based club earned their continental ticket after winning the 2025/26 Ghana FA Cup, and Friday’s friendly against Exulted FC offers the head coach and players a valuable opportunity to fine-tune combinations before the continental assignment begins.

Known for their eagle-eyed sharpness and disciplined structure, Nations FC will be tested by a resilient Exulted FC side that has built a growing reputation for grit and attacking flair. Beyond the scoreline, the clash promises a showcase of skill, passion and community spirit, living up to this season’s rallying cry: One Game. One Spirit. One Team.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to grab the best spots pitch-side and cheer on their side as Nations FC begin the countdown to their historic CAF Confederation Cup bow.
