Nana Yaa Jantuah Says Some Married Women Use Sex Toys to Help Sustain Relationships

Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has sparked public discussion after revealing that some married women are increasingly turning to sex toys to help manage intimacy challenges in their marriages, particularly when their spouses are frequently away from home.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme, she said many women have approached her privately to discuss marital difficulties and the measures they take to remain committed to their relationships.

According to her, several of these women are married to men whose work often requires them to travel for extended periods. She noted that some women believe the use of intimacy devices helps them remain faithful and avoid extramarital affairs while their partners are away.

Nana Yaa Jantuah disclosed that she was initially unfamiliar with sex toys and only learned about them through conversations with women who explained their purpose and use to her.

She explained that after those discussions, she became more aware of the growing public discourse surrounding the subject and its role in modern relationships.

Beyond the issue of sex toys, she emphasized the importance of open conversations about sex and intimacy within families. According to her, parents should educate their children about sexual matters rather than leaving them to learn from peers or unreliable sources.

Her remarks have since generated debate among the public, with opinions divided on the role of sex toys in marriage, sexual education, and relationship wellbeing. Some view such tools as a means of addressing intimacy challenges, while others raise concerns based on cultural, religious, or personal beliefs.

The discussion has also renewed conversations about the importance of communication, sexual health education, and mutual understanding in maintaining healthy relationships and marriages.
