Medeama Thrash Asante Kotoko 4-0 to Go Top of Ghana Premier League

Medeama SC delivered a commanding performance to defeat Asante Kotoko 4-0 in a Ghana Premier League matchday 29 encounter at the TnA Stadium on Sunday.
The home side wasted no time asserting their dominance, overwhelming the Porcupine Warriors from the opening whistle and reclaiming the top spot in the league with 53 points.
Medeama took the lead in the 14th minute through Manuel Mantey, whose effort took a deflection before finding the back of the net.
The advantage was doubled on the half-hour mark when Kelvin Obeng rose highest to head home a well-delivered free-kick from Fuzy Taylor.
Just four minutes later, Obeng turned provider, delivering a precise cross to the far post for Salim Adams to tap in and make it 3-0 before halftime.
Medeama continued their dominance after the break, adding a fourth goal to complete an emphatic victory and underline their title credentials.
The win sends Medeama SC back to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 53 points. They will now shift focus to their MTN FA Cup semi-final clash against Dreams FC on Saturday, April 18.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko’s struggles continue, with the heavy defeat extending their winless run. The Porcupine Warriors will aim to bounce back when they face Hohoe United in their next league fixture.
