Mahama to open Education Review Conference in Mid-February – Education Minister
President John Mahama is going to open a big conference about education in the middle of February 2025. The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, announced this on Friday to celebrate International Day of Education, which was on January 24. The conference will look at how education is doing now and how it can be improved in the future. They want to make sure everyone has access to good education, no matter where they live or who they are.
The theme of the conference is about how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing education. AI can help make learning more personal and accessible to people who don’t have a lot of resources. The Minister is calling for people to work together to make sure everyone has access to good education, especially in remote areas. He also wants teachers to be able to create classrooms that are inclusive and help students learn about digital literacy, AI ethics, and critical thinking.
The Minister thinks it’s really important for education to be fair and inclusive, and to help people be prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future. He’s asking everyone to work together to make sure education is a source of hope for every child and community. He also thanked all the people who are working hard to make education better, saying that their efforts are the foundation of the country’s development.
