Liverpool Rebuff Bayern’s £58.6m Bid for Luis Diaz, Eye Newcastle’s Isak

Liverpool have rejected a £58.6 million opening offer from Bayern Munich for their star forward Luis Diaz, reinforcing that the 28-year-old Colombian international is not for sale.

The approach, made earlier in July 2025, was firmly declined on Tuesday, with Liverpool valuing Diaz, whose contract runs until summer 2027, at over £87 million.

Diaz, a key player in Arne Slot’s squad, scored 22 goals across club and country last season, including 13 in the Premier League, helping Liverpool secure the title by 10 points. Interest in Diaz also came from Manchester City last summer and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are actively pursuing a new striker, with BBC Sport reporting genuine progress in their efforts to sign Newcastle’s Swedish international Alexander Isak in recent days.

The club has also explored options for other centre-forward targets as they aim to bolster their attacking options for the 2025-26 season.
