The management of Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has dismissed rumours circulating on social media about a supposed DNA test involving a child, describing the claims as part of a promotional strategy for an upcoming movie.
In a statement issued on March 15 by Wezzy Empire, the actor’s management clarified that the trending discussions online do not reflect any real-life situation involving the Kumawood star.
“The attention of Wezzy Empire and the management of actor Lilwin has been drawn to misleading rumours circulating on social media regarding a supposed ‘DNA test’ involving a child,” the statement said.
According to the management, the conversations about the DNA test are linked to the storyline of Lilwin’s forthcoming film titled DNA.
“We wish to state categorically that these claims are completely not a reflection of a true and real incident. This is strictly a showbiz marketing strategy designed to promote Lilwin’s highly anticipated upcoming movie, titled ‘DNA,’” the statement explained.
Management also stressed that the storyline portrayed in the promotional video should not be interpreted as an event from the actor’s personal life.
“The ongoing conversation regarding DNA is purely a storyline from the movie and has absolutely no reflection on Lilwin’s personal life,” the statement added.
They further noted that the actor remains committed to his family and urged the public not to misinterpret the promotional content.
“Lilwin is a happily married man and is blessed with eight beautiful children with his lovely wife,” the management emphasised.
The management also called on the public to disregard the rumours circulating online.
“We urge the public to ignore the misinterpretation attached to the video as though the statement being made by Lilwin reflects the true state of affairs in his personal life,” the statement concluded.
