Accra, Ghana – Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, is facing a GH¢5 million defamation lawsuit filed by renowned actress Martha Ankomah.
Martha Ankomah’s lawyer, Nii Apatu Plange, confirmed that settlement negotiations broke down, prompting the court to proceed with the trial.
“We made our proposals to the intermediary, but it seemed the defendant was not ready for settlement,” Plange stated.
The defamation suit centers on a viral video where LilWin allegedly made remarks suggesting Ankomah’s unwillingness to collaborate with Kumawood actors, damaging her professional reputation.
Ankomah, a distinguished actress with over 20 years of experience in Ghana and Nigeria, seeks to clear her name and hold LilWin accountable.
