Lilwin Apologizes to Agya Koo for Controversial Remarks, Extends Olive Branch with Movie Premiere Invite

Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, has issued a public apology to veteran Ghanaian actor Agya Koo for controversial comments that sparked tension in the local movie industry.

In a recent interview, Lilwin clarified that his earlier remarks about Agya Koo were not meant to be taken seriously and were intended as a jest. To mend ties, he encouraged Agya Koo to capitalize on the moment by releasing a new project or film, offering to collaborate if invited.

As a gesture of goodwill, Lilwin announced he would invite Agya Koo to the premiere of his upcoming movie, A Country Called Ghana, scheduled for August 2, 2025, at the National Theatre in Accra.

The controversy began when Lilwin’s comments were perceived as dismissive of Agya Koo’s contributions to the Kumawood industry, prompting backlash from fans and industry stakeholders.

Lilwin’s apology aims to quell the feud and foster unity in Ghana’s film industry, with the actor emphasizing mutual respect and collaboration. The premiere event, featuring prominent figures like Ramsey Nouah and Charles Awurum, is expected to draw significant attention, and Agya Koo’s potential attendance could mark a step toward reconciliation.
