Kwastech Crowned Best Agriculture School at 41st Farmers’ Day District Awards

During the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Agona Mankrong Nkwanta in the Agona East District of Ghana’s Central Region, Agona Kwanyako Senior High School—affectionately known as Kwastech—was named the Best Second-Cycle Institution in Agriculture at the district level.
The school, renowned for its motto of perseverance, excellence, and truth, secured the honor through outstanding agricultural programs that include a thriving catfish farm, piggery, expansive plantation, and poultry unit.
These initiatives not only enhance practical training for students but also supply fresh fish, meat, and crops to the school’s kitchen, improving nutrition and reducing operational costs.
The award underscores Kwastech’s dedication to advancing agricultural education and boosting local food security, serving as a model for integrating farming into secondary school curricula across the district.
