Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has spoken publicly about the intense emotional pain he endured following his second divorce. In a candid interview with Ghana News TV, Kwabena Kwabena revealed that he nearly suffered a breakdown similar to comedian Funny Face’s.
“The experience was incredibly difficult,” Kwabena Kwabena shared. “I can say I was not far from what happened to my brother, Funny Face. Every time I see him, I cry because it could have been me.”
Kwabena Kwabena credited his faith for helping him overcome the challenging period. “I’m thankful to God that I’m still alive and sound. I didn’t know how I got out of that situation.”
The singer, known for hits like “Adult Music” and “Bue Kwan,” also discussed his latest gospel single, “Fakye Me,” which he wrote during a period of intense personal struggle.
“I asked God to forgive me if I had done something wrong because I am only human,” Kwabena Kwabena explained. “I can make mistakes, but should my mistakes lead me to such a situation?”
