“KENNEDY AGYAPONG WONT EVEN GET 15% VOTES FROM ASHANTI REGION” – SUAME MP
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and majority leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu,has declared how suprised he would be should Hon. Kennedy Agyapong be named victorous on November 4 as the new flagbearer for the NPP.
“I will be surprised if my colleague Kennedy Agyapong gets even 20% in the presidential primaries.”
The Majority Leader who also doubles as a Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti region said this when predicting the probable outcome of Saturday’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primaries, particularly regarding Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s performance.
The leader of the Majority side in Parliament stated that out of the over 200,000 delegates who are expected to decide on the four candidates as the ruling New Patriotic Party chooses a flagbearer for the 2024 general election on November 4, 2023 , he doubts if Kennedy would have more even in the Ashanti Region.
“Kennedy Agyapong would not even get 15% in the Ashanti Region.” he stated.
According to Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s economic acumen is unquestionable and he is the right person to change the economic situation.
