João Pedro Reacts After Missing Out on Brazil’s 2026 World Cup Squad

Brazilian forward João Pedro has expressed disappointment after being left out of Brazil’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In an emotional statement shared after the squad announcement, João Pedro said he had given everything in pursuit of his dream to represent Brazil on football’s biggest stage.

“I tried to give my best at all times. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to fulfill this dream of representing my country in a World Cup,” he said.

Despite the setback, the striker pledged his full support for the Seleção as they prepare for the tournament.

“From now on, I wish good luck to everyone who is there and I will be just another fan cheering for them to bring the 6th World Cup title home,” he added.

The omission has sparked reactions among Brazilian football fans, with many expressing sympathy for the forward while backing the national team ahead of the tournament.

Brazil will be aiming to secure a record-extending sixth FIFA World Cup title at the 2026 tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
