Ibrahim Salifu earns Benin call-up after nationality switch from Ghana

Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu has been named in Benin’s squad for the first time following his successful nationality switch from Ghana.
The 27-year-old is in line to make his debut for Les Écureuils in an international friendly against Burkina Faso later this month.
Salifu, who helped Hearts win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title, is currently playing in Kosovo with FC Drita. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity and pride in representing his ancestral nation.
