I Am Not Guilty – Timileyin Ajayi Pleads Not Guilty in Girlfriend’s Murder Case
Timileyin Ajayi, a gospel singer, is in the midst of a highly publicized trial for the murder of Salome Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps member who was allegedly his girlfriend.
Despite a video circulating online where he appears to confess to the crime, Ajayi has pleaded not guilty in the High Court of Justice, Lafia.
He’s facing a charge of culpable homicide punishable by death under Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria.
Ajayi’s legal team is planning to challenge the evidence presented by the prosecution, including the confession video.
This case has sparked a lot of debate and discussion about the judicial process and the need for justice for Salome. Many are calling for a fair trial and for the court to make a decision based on evidence.
The case is also shedding light on the issue of gender-based violence and the safety of women in Nigeria.
