Heaven Way International Ministry Erupts in Joyful Worship as Evangelist Nana Agradaa Returns from Prison

The atmosphere at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry was electric this morning as hundreds of congregants filled the freshly renovated auditorium in heartfelt worship, songs of thanksgiving, and tearful prayers, awaiting the arrival of their founder and leader, Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, better known as Nana Agradaa.

Many members had arrived as early as dawn to secure seats, turning the church compound into a sea of white T-shirts emblazoned with the simple message “PRAY EVERYDAY” — a design unveiled by her husband, Pastor Angel Asiamah, in the days leading up to her release. The building itself bore the signs of recent upgrades: fresh paint, improved seating, brighter lighting, and a general sense of renewal that mirrored the mood of celebration inside.

Shortly after 9 a.m., Evangelist Agradaa stepped through the doors to thunderous applause, shouts of “Mama Pat is back!” and a spontaneous outburst of praise songs. In her first public remarks since walking out of Nsawam Medium Security Prison earlier this morning, she stood before the congregation visibly moved, microphone in hand.

“I thank God Almighty for bringing me home. I thank my husband, Pastor Angel Asiamah, for holding the fort. I thank every single one of you who never stopped praying, fasting, and believing,” she said, her voice breaking at several points. “This is not the end of the story — it is a new chapter. We are going higher.”

Security personnel were visibly present both inside and outside the church premises, managing the large crowd of supporters, curious onlookers, and media teams that had gathered since news of her release under the remission policy began spreading yesterday. Despite the heavy presence, the mood remained peaceful and focused on worship.

Pastor Angel Asiamah, who coordinated much of the welcome, had earlier appealed for calm and order during Sunday’s service, reminding members that the day was about spiritual restoration and recommitting to the ministry’s calling rather than spectacle alone.

Agradaa’s release after serving eight months of a reduced one-year sentence (originally 15 years before appeal) has been met with a mix of celebration among her followers and continued debate in the wider public. Today, however, inside the walls of Heaven Way, the focus was singular: gratitude, renewal, and the belief that their leader has returned to continue the work they say God called her to do.

The church has indicated that regular services and programmes will resume fully this week, with Evangelist Agradaa expected to address the congregation again in the coming days. For now, the sound of praise continues to echo through the auditorium as members give thanks for what many are calling a divine comeback.
