Hearts of Oak Host True Life FC in FA Cup Round of 64 at Kpobiman

Accra Hearts of Oak will face Division Two side True Life FC in the FA Cup Round of 64 on Wednesday at their Kpobiman training ground.

The match marks the third different home venue used by the Phobians this season, following earlier Premier League games at the Accra Sports Stadium and University of Ghana Stadium.

Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani welcomed the fixture at the club’s modern facility, emphasizing its importance beyond the result.

“For me, it gives our fans the chance to come up there and see what the board has done,” Dramani said. “Sometimes when I step into training, I feel like I am still in Europe.”

Hearts last lifted the FA Cup in 2022 and remain determined to end that drought.

“We said we were ready to compete for every trophy at stake, so the FA Cup is just one of those trophies available for contest,” the coach added.

Dramani also revealed that player rotation in last week’s league win over Vision FC was strategic, with Wednesday’s cup tie and an upcoming trip to Karela United in mind.

“That is why we rested some players from our previous game. It is a week where we will play three games… Karela is just at the weekend and we are traveling to my hometown (Tamale), so we need to reload players,” he explained.

Kick-off is set for 3:00 PM at the Hearts of Oak Kpobiman Park.
