The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has appointed Ing. Frank Asirifi Otchere as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 8, 2026.
The announcement, contained in a circular signed by Board Chairperson Kuukua Maurice Ankrah, also named Ing. Samuel Nkansah as Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Finance and Resources, while Ing. Samed Abdul Ibrahim has been appointed Acting Deputy Chief Executive for Engineering and Operations.
Ing. Otchere takes over leadership of GRIDCo at a critical time as the company works to strengthen Ghana’s electricity transmission network and improve operational stability following recent challenges in the power sector.
GRIDCo urged staff to support the new leadership team as they assume office, expressing confidence in their ability to improve efficiency and reinforce the national power transmission system.
