GRA Questions Source of Income of Prophet Ogyaba After Tax Payment

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has reportedly requested further clarification on the source of income of Prophet Emmanuel Akwasi Boakye, founder of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, despite an earlier tax assessment and payment.
According to the preacher, popularly known as Prophet Ogyaba, the tax authority had previously assessed him, calculated his tax obligations, and issued official confirmation after he complied with payment.
“You wrote a letter and worked on the taxes I was supposed to pay to the GRA. I have paid, and you gave me a receipt and certificate,” he said.
He expressed surprise that the GRA later followed up with another directive asking him to declare the origin of his income.
“After that, you have written to me to declare my source of income,” he added.
Prophet Ogyaba questioned the need for the additional request, arguing that the earlier assessment should have already accounted for his earnings and financial details.
“If you did not know my source of income, how did you calculate my tax?” he asked.
He, however, stated that he remains willing to comply with all tax obligations and will continue to cooperate with the authorities despite his concerns.
