Gideon Boako Accuses NDC of Propaganda, Urges End to Misinformation

On July 22, 2025, Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and MP for Tano North, called out the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what he described as propaganda and misinformation during a discussion on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show.
Addressing the recent violence during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun on July 11, 2025, where NPP members, including former MP Hawa Koomson, were assaulted, Boako urged the NDC to “stop your propaganda and lies” and focus on fostering mature political discourse.
He accused the NDC of manipulating facts for political gain, citing their silence on the Ablekuma North incident and their alleged involvement in politically motivated protests, such as the Democracy Hub demonstration in 2024, which he claimed targeted the NPP to tarnish the then-government’s image.
Boako emphasized, “Let’s grow our politics… Let’s stop hiding behind politics to make distortions. It won’t help,” warning that such tactics undermine national progress.
