Ghana’s Black Starlets Gear Up for 2025 WAFU U-17 Cup in Côte d’Ivoire

Ghana’s Black Starlets have arrived in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, for the 2025 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations. Led by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, the team is set to compete in the tournament, which runs from September 20 to October 3 at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium.

The Black Starlets are in Group A with hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, and Togo. Their matches are scheduled as follows:

September 20: Ghana vs. Togo at 6:00 PM GMT

September 23: Ghana vs. Côte d’Ivoire

September 26: Ghana vs. Niger at 3:00 PM GMT

This tournament is not just about winning the regional title—it’s also a qualifier for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations. The top teams will secure a spot in the continental championship.

As two-time FIFA U-17 World Cup champions, the Black Starlets aim to shine and reclaim their place among Africa’s top youth football teams.
