Ghanaian Businessman Extradited to US for Alleged Romance Scam
Joseph Badu Boateng, popularly known as “Dada Joe Remix,” has been extradited to the United States for his alleged involvement in a romance fraud scheme worth over $100 million. The U.S. Embassy in Ghana collaborated with local authorities and the FBI to bring him to the US, where he’ll face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.

- Ran a sophisticated fraud ring targeting US citizens through romance and inheritance scams
- Defrauded elderly Americans by promising access to non-existent gold and jewelry, demanding fictitious fees and taxes
