Ghana Football Association TO RECEIVE $12.5M FROM FIFA FOR 2026 WORLD CUP PARTICIPATION

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to receive a total of $12.5 million from FIFA following the Black Stars’ qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This includes $2.5 million as preparatory funding—an increase from the previous $1.5 million—and an additional $10 million as qualification bonus.
FIFA announced the increment as part of a broader financial boost tied to the expanded 48-team tournament, with the total prize pool rising to $871 million.
The 2026 World Cup, to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will be the largest in history, with increased funding aimed at supporting participating nations amid higher operational demands.
