Ga Mantse, Richard Nii Armah Quaye to Support Brilliant but Needy Ga-Dangbe Students With New Scholarship Scheme
Business magnate and philanthropist Richard Nii Armah Quaye, in collaboration with the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is set to launch a scholarship scheme to support brilliant but financially challenged students from the Ga-Dangbe community.
The initiative is scheduled to be officially launched on Monday, September 14, with the aim of expanding educational opportunities for young people while promoting unity and collective investment in the development of the Ga-Dangbe people.
The scholarship programme forms part of a broader effort to ensure that deserving students are not denied access to education because of financial difficulties.
It is also expected to encourage individuals, corporate organisations and institutions within the Ga-Dangbe community to contribute towards nurturing the next generation of scholars, professionals and leaders.
Building a Culture of Giving Back
Speaking ahead of the launch, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, Founder and President of the RNAQ Foundation, said the initiative goes beyond providing financial assistance to selected beneficiaries.
According to him, the programme represents a long-term vision to build a stronger, more united and prosperous Ga-Dangbe community through education.
He said the scholarship would also promote a culture of giving back by encouraging successful members of the community to invest in opportunities that can benefit future generations.
Mr Quaye, who hails from the Ga-Dangbe community, said the initiative forms part of his commitment to supporting the development of his people through education and empowerment.
Traditional Leaders, Stakeholders Expected
The launch is expected to bring together traditional leaders, community members and other key stakeholders to highlight the importance of education and shared responsibility in shaping the future of the Ga-Dangbe community.
Mr Quaye believes sustained investment in education is essential to producing a new generation of scholars, professionals and leaders who can contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the Ga-Dangbe people and Ghana as a whole.
The collaboration with the Ga Mantse is expected to further strengthen the initiative’s focus on community participation and collective responsibility in supporting young people with academic potential but limited financial resources.
