Funny Face cautions youth against drug use, highlights mental health awareness

Ghanaian comedian Funny Face has advised young people to stay away from drugs, warning that substances like marijuana can have harmful effects depending on the individual.

Speaking at the Parrot Mouths event held at the UPSA Auditorium, he noted that peer pressure often pushes many into habits that may not be suitable for them.

“Friends might say smoking weed calms you down, but for some, it makes things worse,” he said in an interview with GhanaWeb.

The comedian stressed the importance of individuality, urging young people not to compare themselves with others when making life choices.

He also used the opportunity to draw attention to mental health, encouraging the youth to educate themselves and take deliberate steps to protect their wellbeing.

“Take care of it, read up, learn about it,” he advised.

Funny Face added that his comedy is deeply rooted in real-life experiences, often reflecting personal struggles that he transforms into humour.

He revealed that he is currently preparing for his own headline comedy show, as he continues to use his platform to inspire and educate through entertainment.
