Fetish Priests Association Takes Bold Stance Against Galamsey, Threatens Spiritual Consequences
Environmental Devastation Reaches Intolerable Level
The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana, led by President Kwaku Bonsam, has announced plans to stage a nationwide protest against the escalating problem of illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey. The association expressed grave concern over the destruction of the country’s natural resources, particularly water bodies and forests.
In an interview on Kasapa FM, Kwaku Bonsam stated that the environmental destruction caused by galamsey has reached an intolerable level. He noted that the association, which boasts over 2,000 members from across Ghana, is determined to take firm action to safeguard the nation’s natural resources.
The devastating effects of galamsey include:
– Contamination of water bodies
– Destruction of fertile lands
– Growing environmental crisis posing a threat to future generations
In response, the Fetish Priests Association is planning a peaceful demonstration and employing a spiritual approach to deal with those involved in galamsey. Kwaku Bonsam warned that within two weeks of the protest, there would be consequences, including “unexplained curses and deaths” targeting those responsible for environmental devastation.
This announcement comes amid ongoing debates on galamsey, with various stakeholders advocating for stronger measures to end the practice.
