Aliu Mahama, MP and Chair of Parliament’s Government Assurances Committee, expressed regret over the recent incident at the NPP parliamentary primaries in Yendi. In a press statement on Tuesday, May 7, he condemned the attack, emphasizing his dedication to fostering a peaceful political climate. He reiterated his commitment to condemning violence, particularly against the media, stressing their pivotal role in Ghana’s democracy. Mahama emphasized the need to support the media in fulfilling their duties effectively, underscoring his belief that violence has no place in society.
