Family of Late Prince Elisha Kofi Osei Warns Against Spreading Unverified Information Following His Sudden Death
The family of Prince Elisha Kofi Osei, the Founder and General Overseer of Grace Family Church International, has issued a formal public notice cautioning the public against circulating unverified, misleading, or defamatory information about his passing.
In the official statement announcing his death, the family described the loss as sudden and deeply painful, appealing for restraint, empathy, and responsible communication—particularly on social media and other public platforms.
“The family respectfully urges the general public to refrain from spreading unverified information, false statements, abusive comments regarding his passing,” the notice read. They further warned that legal action would be taken against anyone found disseminating falsehoods or defamatory remarks.
“Any person found circulating falsehood or defamatory statements will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land,” the family added.
Prince Elisha Kofi Osei reportedly died on Friday, February 13, 2026, following a cardiac arrest. The family confirmed: “He departed this life after a Cardiac arrest on Friday 13th February 2026.”
The statement highlighted the profound impact of the loss on his immediate family, wife, children, the Grace Family Church International congregation, and all who knew him.
“This unexpected loss has deeply affected the family, wife and children, the church and all who knew him,” it noted.
The family expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of condolence messages and solidarity from sympathisers, while kindly requesting privacy and spiritual support during their time of mourning.
“We kindly request privacy, respect and prayers during this difficult time,” the notice concluded.
Funeral arrangements, the family said, will be communicated in due course.
