Excitement Builds at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry Ahead of Nana Agradaa’s Release from Prison

Joy and anticipation are filling the air at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry as members prepare to welcome back their founder and leader, Evangelist Patricia Asiamah widely known as Nana Agradaa —who is scheduled for release from the Nsawam Medium Security Prison on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Her husband and ministry co-leader, Angel Asiamah, has taken charge of the preparations, personally unveiling a special commemorative T-shirt bearing the simple but powerful message: “PRAY EVERYDAY.” The shirts are already being distributed among congregants as a symbol of faith, perseverance, and thanksgiving.
The church premises have received a fresh coat of paint and minor renovations to ensure the space is ready for what is expected to be a large gathering of supporters, well-wishers, and returning members eager to see their spiritual leader return after serving time.
During his Sunday sermon, Pastor Angel Asiamah confirmed that seating arrangements and a modest reception have been put in place. He appealed to the congregation to maintain order and decorum, reminding them that the occasion is not merely a celebration of Agradaa’s return but a reaffirmation of their collective commitment to the ministry’s mission.
“Today is not just about welcoming our leader home — it is about recommitting ourselves to the work God has called us to do,” he told the worshippers, many of whom joined in emotional songs of praise and thanksgiving.
Angel Asiamah appeared visibly moved during the service, leading the congregation in worship and prayer for his wife’s safe return and continued strength.
Nana Agradaa’s release comes under Ghana’s standard prisoner remission policy. Originally sentenced to 15 years on charges related to charlatan advertisement and other offences, her term was significantly reduced to one year following a successful appeal. Under the remission rules, qualifying prisoners serve two-thirds of their sentence, with the remaining portion remitted, resulting in her scheduled release after eight months.
The ministry has been without its charismatic founder since her incarceration, but members say her teachings and messages have continued to guide them through sermons, recordings, and online broadcasts.
Congregants and supporters have expressed relief and joy at the prospect of her return, with many planning to line the route from Nsawam to the church premises in a show of solidarity and celebration.
Church leaders have appealed to the public for calm and orderly conduct during the welcome event, while urging continued prayers for Agradaa’s health, spiritual strength, and the ongoing work of the ministry.
The release is expected to draw significant media attention given Nana Agradaa’s controversial yet influential public profile. Heaven Way Champion International Ministry has invited well-wishers to join the modest reception as they prepare to receive their leader back into the fold.
