Former Midfielder Says “I Don’t Have Any Problem With the Current Black Stars Squad”

Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has thrown his full support behind the current national team, stating clearly that he has no issues with the squad as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In an interview on Original TV, the experienced former player dismissed ongoing debates and concerns about the team’s composition and recent performances.
“I don’t have any problem with the current Black Stars squad,” Agyemang Badu said firmly.
His comments come at a critical moment as the Black Stars continue their build-up toward the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The team has faced mixed reviews from fans and pundits in recent months, with some questioning squad selection and tactical approach.
Agyemang Badu, who earned over 90 caps for Ghana and was a key member of the squad during the country’s successful AFCON campaigns, emphasised his confidence in the players currently representing the nation.
The former midfielder’s endorsement is expected to boost morale within the camp and among supporters as the team prepares for upcoming international fixtures.
Ghana remains focused on securing a strong qualification campaign for the expanded 48-team 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
