Edward Ennin Exposes Hidden Looted State Funds: Ready to Testify Before ORAL Committee
Edward Ennin Reveals Locations of Looted State Funds, Vows to Testify Before ORAL Committee
Edward Ennin, a former Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) representing Obuasi East, has made startling allegations regarding the misappropriation of state funds. Speaking in a recent interview on UTV, Ennin claimed to possess critical evidence on where these stolen resources are hidden and expressed his willingness to testify before any investigative body, including the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee.
Ennin disclosed that foreign diplomats, including ambassadors from France, the UK, and the US, are aware of the destinations where looted funds are being stashed. “I was in the home of a prominent personality with these ambassadors, and the discussion that ensued was alarming,” Ennin stated. He further alleged that some of the stolen money had been transferred abroad.
Driven by his commitment to national interest, Ennin affirmed, “When the time comes, I will present my evidence. Ghana must come first.”
The former MP also hinted at his intent to expose top government officials implicated in illegal small-scale mining activities (galamsey). He claimed to have information on Members of Parliament and District Chief Executives involved in the illicit practice.
Adding weight to his allegations, Ennin recounted a visit to Guyana, where he observed investments tied to Ghana’s oil blocks. This experience, he said, strengthened his resolve to uncover the truth about mismanagement and corruption.
