Daddy Lumba’s Widow Expresses Gratitude After Emotional Welcome at KIA

Mrs. Akosua Serwah Fosuh, widow of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has expressed heartfelt gratitude following an emotional reception upon her return to Ghana.
In a statement dated January 10, 2026, Mrs. Fosuh recounted her journey from Germany to Accra, describing it as one undertaken in faith amid severe winter conditions and flight disruptions across Europe. She said she committed the trip into God’s hands, praying for a safe arrival.
She arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on January 9, 2026, where she was met by a large crowd of supporters who had gathered to welcome her. Mrs. Fosuh said she was initially surprised by the turnout, thinking a national figure might have arrived, but soon realised the crowd had come to receive her.
Describing the moment as deeply humbling and emotional, she said the love and support shown moved her to tears and reminded her of a biblical passage about resilience and restoration. She noted that the reception far exceeded her expectations and would remain an unforgettable moment for her and her family.
Mrs. Fosuh, who described herself as quiet and reserved, expressed appreciation to various individuals and groups who stood by her, with special mention of Team Legal Wives for their solidarity, prayers, and advocacy.
She also thanked the Fosuh family, airport authorities, the Ghana Police Service, organisers of the reception, and supporters who travelled from different parts of the country to welcome her back home.

According to her, the overwhelming show of love and unity has strengthened her during a difficult period and will forever be cherished by her family.
