Bobrisky Freed: Celebrity Crossdresser Released from Kirikiri Prison After 6-Month Sentence

Nigerian social media sensation Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, has been released from Kirikiri Correctional Centre after serving a six-month sentence for naira abuse.

The flamboyant celebrity was seen leaving the facility on Monday morning in a luxury car, accompanied by two friends, with a video of the moment quickly going viral.

Bobrisky’s imprisonment began on April 12, following a sentencing by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Lagos High Court. He was found guilty of misusing the naira by spraying it at parties and was sentenced to six months in prison without the option of paying a fine.

In a post-release interview with GoldMyneTV, Bobrisky shared a message of caution, urging people to follow the rules and obey the law. “Something light like this can take you to prison,” he warned.

He also expressed gratitude for his supportive friends, saying, “I’m only focusing on my friends who were there for me, and I’m grateful.”
