Bishop Salifu, Wife Arrested Over East Legon Fatal Crash: 2 Teens Dead, 3 Injured
Bishop Salifu and Wife Detained
Accra, Ghana – Bishop Salifu and his wife have been taken into custody by Ghana Police in connection with the East Legon incident that claimed the lives of two 12-year-old girls, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh.
On October 12, 2024, Bishop Salifu’s 16-year-old son, Elrad Salifu Amoako, driving a Jaguar SUV, collided with a 4×4 Acura vehicle driven by Joseph Ackah at Mensah Wood Street in East Legon. The crash resulted in both vehicles catching fire and burning beyond recognition.
Three of the five occupants in the Acura vehicle were rescued, with two sustaining minor injuries and being treated and discharged. One victim remains hospitalized.
The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
