Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has extended his best wishes to the three schools competing in this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) grand finale.
The finalists are Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), St. Augustine’s College (Augusco) and Accra Academy Senior High School.
In a Facebook post ahead of the much-anticipated finale, Dr Bawumia described the three institutions as some of Ghana’s finest schools and encouraged the contestants to give their best as they battle for the ultimate prize.
“Today, three of Ghana’s finest schools go head-to-head in the grand finale of the National Science & Maths Quiz: Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, St. Augustine’s College, and Accra Academy Senior High School.”
‘You Are All Champions’
Dr Bawumia wished the contestants well and stressed that reaching the grand finale was itself a major achievement.
He encouraged the students to approach the competition with confidence, regardless of the eventual outcome.
“I wish you the very best as you compete for the ultimate prize. Whatever the outcome, you are all champions of Ghana’s future.”
He concluded his message by naming the three finalists and wishing them success in the keenly contested competition.
“Good luck, PRESEC, Augusco and Accra Academy.”
The grand finale brings together three schools that have battled through the various stages of the competition for a chance to claim the coveted NSMQ title.
