The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on party supporters to remain united and fully support the government of John Dramani Mahama to ensure the success of the administration.
According to Mr. Asiedu Nketia, the NDC and its supporters have a collective responsibility to help the government deliver on its promises to Ghanaians over the next three years.
Speaking during his “Thank You Tour” in the East Gonja Constituency on Thursday, May 14, he stressed that the image and success of the Mahama administration are directly linked to the reputation of the NDC.
“Our party members who supported the party to power, we have three years to the end of the tenure of the Mahama government. We need to support the government to succeed,” he stated.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia warned party faithful against engaging in actions that could undermine the government’s efforts, saying any failure of the administration would affect the entire party.
“If Mahama fails, the embarrassment will be on all of us; Mahama will not only take the fall, but all of us,” he said.
He therefore urged members of the party to work together, remain disciplined, and cooperate in promoting the government’s agenda for the benefit of the country.
“We need to support the government’s agenda with all our strength for it to succeed for the betterment of the people,” he added.
The NDC Chairman also encouraged supporters to motivate one another and remain focused on protecting the image of the party while helping the government meet the expectations of Ghanaians.
