His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, has officially constituted a new Board of Directors to steer the affairs of the Kumasi-based giants.

The announcement, issued by the Manhyia Palace on Friday, February 27, 2026, marks a significant leadership transition and strategic reset for one of Ghana’s most storied football institutions.

New Board Leadership

Chairman: Mr. James Osei Brown Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction, Mr. Osei Brown brings extensive business leadership experience and a proven track record in corporate governance. He is expected to provide strategic oversight, drive financial discipline, and position the club for sustained success both on and off the pitch.

Vice-Chairman: Mr. Kwasi Osei Ofori CEO of Rocksure, Mr. Osei Ofori’s corporate expertise in high-level management and operations will support the board in decision-making and long-term planning.

Board Member: Mr. Kofi Amoa-Abban Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, Mr. Amoa-Abban’s deep background in the energy and construction sectors will contribute valuable insights into infrastructure development, commercial partnerships, and sustainable growth strategies for the club.

The new board is tasked with immediate statutory oversight responsibilities, including:

Strengthening the club’s competitive position in the Ghana Premier League

Building a more robust and transparent financial model
