On July 18, 2025, during a courtesy visit by Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie (Michael Owusu Addo) and his management team, including manager Angel Town and Nabil Alhassan of Event Factory, to Manhyia Palace, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, expressed his enthusiasm to attend the upcoming Rapperholic Concert in Kumasi, scheduled for September 2025.
The visit aimed to formally inform the King of the event and seek his blessings. Otumfuo, noting restrictions on his public appearances, stated, “They don’t allow me to go out often, but this one, I will like to attend and watch the event myself.”
He offered advice to Sarkodie’s team to remain humble and focused, assuring his support. The Rapperholic Concert, typically held in December in Accra, marks its second Kumasi edition, expected to attract thousands of fans and industry stakeholders, cementing its status as a major cultural event in the Ashanti Region.
