After retiring from his football career, former Ghanaian star John Mensah discovered a new calling in evangelism.
Former Ghana captain John Mensah has revealed his newfound passion since retiring from football seven years ago. Mensah, who played a pivotal role in Ghana’s journey to the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals, now devotes himself to spreading the teachings of Christianity.
“I spend most of my time in church now because I’m no longer on the field,” John shared during the Ghana Football Awards ceremony. “My church is Resurrection Power, New Generation. I worship there and dedicate myself to God, offering guidance to others and conducting evangelism to help people deepen their faith.”
Mensah, formerly a defender for Sunderland, represented Ghana’s national team in 86 matches, scoring three goals throughout his international career.
John Mensah, who is now 41 years old, was part of the Ghana squad that secured qualification for their first-ever World Cup in 2006.
